Responsibilities
Make an impact Our Enterprise Service IT department develop and deliver IT solutions that are used across multiple platforms and countries. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of our international BI & Analytics competence team. The team has an internal consulting function within the KUKA Group for all KUKA entities and countries. Our focus is the implementation of appropriate reporting/analytical/planning solutions and to support our internal customers with key user training or any kind of reporting/data processing related questions.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines/models using Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt and Databricks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all stages of the data lifecycle
- Version control and CI/CD integration using GIT, DevOps
- Support the development of reporting solutions based on transactional and IoT data
- Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency
Application Requirements
What you need to succeed
- Degree in Business Information Technology, Mathematics or Data Science with a highly technical orientation
- At least 5 years specific work experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, Python, Azure Data Factory, dbt core, Airflow, GIT, Azure DevOps, Docker, Terraform
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Experience working with transactional & IoT data
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus)
