Responsibilities:
Learn and apply best practices in data management, data security, and compliance.
Collaborate with business users, developers, and project leads to gather requirements and clarify data-related issues.
Support the implementation of data integration and transformation processes using ETL/ELT tools under the guidance of senior team members.
Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines for data warehouse, data marts and (optionally) data lakehouse environments.
Participate in data quality checks, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Support the development and testing of dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, and resolution activities.
Document and communicate test results, issues, and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including data mapping, process flows, and test cases.
Requirements:
13 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related fields.
Foundational knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Qlik Talend, Microsoft SSIS, Informatica or similar).
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting. Ability to write and test both queries and stored procedures.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau, including building and testing basic dashboards and reports.
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and testing skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities; willingness to learn from senior colleagues and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Ability to support multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively within a project environment.
Familiarity with SAP systems (especially SAP HANA); exposure to SAP Datasphere or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is an advantage
Knowledge of accounting terminology and concepts is an advantage.
Coding experience with Python scripts language and data related library (e.g., Pandas, PyMySQL) is a plus.
