Job Roles:
This role focuses on metadata management, data quality monitoring, and the operational execution of the Data Governance and Management Policy.
Reporting to the Data Governance Specialist, the candidate is required, amongst others, to:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of data governance and management practices across the Corporation
- Maintain the business glossary and ensure accurate lineage documentation
- Configure and maintain data quality rules
- Support the application of data sharing classification
- Prepare data governance reports, dashboards, and metrics
- Track and manage data governance issues and requests from Data Owners and Data Stewards
- Assist Data Owners and Data Stewards in fulfilling their governance responsibilities
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, information technology, information systems, or related field.
- Certification in data management or related areas (e.g. CDMP, DCAM) is a plus.
- 5 to 7 years of working experience in data governance, data management, data analytics, or related roles.
- Experience in metadata management, glossary management, lineage documentation, or data quality monitoring.
- Working knowledge of data governance frameworks, principles and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric or similar tools.
- Proficiency in SQL for data profiling and analysis, and Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business users and technology teams
- Team player with high organisational commitment
- Good interpersonal skills to communicate with different levels of stakeholders
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and proactive with good initiative
- Quick learner and adaptable
