Framework and Policies development and implementation:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a data governance framework, policies and standards in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in data governance and protection and regulatory compliance to ensure data governance practices remain current and effective.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities related to data governance processes.
Data Quality Management:
- Define and implement data quality standards and metrics.
- Help drives data documentation, lineage, and quality tracking (e.g., via data management tool)
- Oversee the implementation of data governance tools and technologies where applicable to support data protection and quality.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, e.g., IT, HR, finance, legal, compliance, and business units to identify critical data elements to be governed and drive data quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance to data owners and custodians.
- Act as a liaison between technical and business teams to ensure data governance and protection requirements are clearly defined, communicated and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
Risk and Compliance:
- Identify data-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Plan and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with internal data governance policies and standards and data protection regulations in countries where TDCX has operations in, such as GDPR, PDPA, PIPL, etc.
Awareness, training and advisory support:
- Develop and delivery training sessions to educate stakeholders on data governance concepts and requirements and to promote a data-driven culture.
- Serve as subject matter expert to provide guidance and support to business units on data governance principles and practices.
- Handles queries or complaints relating to data governance practices
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish performance metrics for data governance initiatives.
- Prepare and present regular reports on data governance activities and outcomes.
