Sanctions Data Manager (Aladdin / Bloomberg)

Kuala Lumpur | Contract (Consulting)

Overview

RGP has been engaged by a global financial services environment to provide a contract Sanctions Data Manager to oversee sanctions data operations across investment platforms. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with global sanctions requirements, while driving data quality, governance, and continuous improvement across sanctions processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee sanctions data maintenance within BlackRock Aladdin, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Validate and reconcile issuer and security data against Bloomberg Terminal sanctions lists
  • Lead exception monitoring, issue resolution, and turnaround of user queries
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for sanctions data processes and controls
  • Act as SME for sanctions data, providing guidance and oversight to analysts
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely data delivery
  • Drive enhancements to sanctions workflows, data processes, and governance frameworks

Requirements

  • Degree qualified
  • 10+ years experience in investment data / sanctions operations
  • Strong experience with Aladdin, Bloomberg, Bloomberg AIM, and Eagle
  • Prior team leadership experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Strong understanding of sanctions monitoring, trade lifecycle, and investment data
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Exposure to automation, analytics, or AI initiatives is an advantage
