The Data Migration Lead role

The Data Migration Lead manages all Data Migration activities for assigned payroll countries. With 12 years of experience as a DM supoort or similar role, the DM Lead delivers all required data migration outputs, works independently, and reports progress to the Workstream Lead.

They collaborate closely with the client throughout the migration stages, oversee the DM Support team, and ensure all deliverables meet quality and KPI expectations.

The DM Lead also helps define the best data migration approach for each country, supports system-related issues during implementation, and ensures smooth system performance. After about 1 year, they should be able to manage small/medium programs and progress to DM Senior Lead (Workstream Lead) after 23 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow Strada's payroll and project implementation standards.
  • Plan and execute all Data Migration ETL/validation stages for testing and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot mediumcomplexity functional issues and track technology defects.
  • Adjust Data Migration Strategy as needed and update the Local DM Plan.
  • Support the Workstream Lead and Project/Program Manager by following timelines, reporting progress, and escalating risks.
  • Provide guidance on data models, templates, and legal data requirements.
  • Lead DM kickoff, Q&A sessions, and communicate requirements to clients.
  • Request and coordinate Data Quality Assessments; support client data cleansing.
  • Perform or guide data load cycles and support testing when needed.
  • Track and resolve data issues, maintaining the RAID log.
  • Manage or oversee data reconciliation and validation activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Computer Science or MBA).
  • 14 years of experience in HR Data Migration projects (depending on level).
  • Ability to work shifts and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong team player and capable team leader.
  • Knowledge of HR, Time, Payroll, and related Data Migration processes is preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, SAP HCM, PeopleSoft, SAP Payroll, etc.) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • ETL experience is a plus.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel.
  • Strong English language skills.
