Data Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL and data processing pipelines;

- Develop high-performance backend services to support data platforms and business applications;

- Work with large-scale batch and real-time processing frameworks such as Spark and Flink;

- Optimize job performance, improve data stability, and ensure SLA compliance;

- Collaborate with product, analytics, and platform teams to deliver reliable data services;

- Contribute to data governance, quality monitoring, and best practice standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field;
• Strong programming skills in both Python and Java, with solid engineering fundamentals;
• Proficient in SQL, and familiar with data modeling and query optimization;
• Hands-on experience with either one of the big data frameworks (Spark, Flink, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.);
• Understanding of distributed systems, performance tuning, and workflow orchestration;
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills;
• Ability to work independently and drive projects from design to deployment.
• Preferred Experience
• Familiarity with either one of the modern data engines (e.g., StarRocks, Iceberg, Hive, ClickHouse);
• Experience with real-time data warehouses, data platforms, or data service APIs;
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, AliCloud) or container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Involvement in metric systems, monitoring dashboards, or internal service frameworks.
• Proficient in both English & Mandarin (Chinese) languages as this position works in a globally team.
