Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to uncover pain points and proactively identify potential data related issues, including data quality concerns.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including business, IT units and the data steward community, to facilitate data issue discussions, drive root cause analysis, plan remediation, support data cleansing, and embed continuous feedback loops to improve data quality management.
  • Provide structured project management and problem-solving leadership across the full lifecycle of data quality issue resolutiondriving root cause analysis, facilitating alignment on scope and priorities, enforcing SLAs, tracking remediation progress, managing reporting, and ensuring timely escalation and closure of issues.
  • Strengthen and streamline data-related processes by embedding appropriate governance practices across the data lifecycle, identifying gaps, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality.
  • Conduct governance reviews and assessments to ensure data related projects and initiatives consistently meet data governance standards, including data quality requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, facilitating workshops, and promoting process enhancements and best practices in data quality management.
  • Drive and deliver senior management reporting on data quality performance, issue trends and remediation progress, highlighting materials risks and ensuring variances are escalated and resolved through appropriate governance forums.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least five years of data governance experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, data lifecycle management, and data quality concepts.
  • Prior experience in complex issue resolution and project management certification with a proven ability to drive complex data quality issues from initiation through root cause analysis, remediation, tracking, escalation, and closure.
  • Strong analytical and criticalthinking skills, able to interpret large datasets, diagnose root causes, and recommend practical, actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive and solutionoriented, able to anticipate potential issues, recommend preventive measures, and drive sustainable remediation.
  • Highly driven, outcomefocused, and able to operate independently in a fastpaced, agile, and collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using data tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms (e.g., BI tools, data quality monitoring tools).
  • Acts as a change agent to drive adoption of data governance practices and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
