Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units and the data steward community, to facilitate multi-level stakeholder discussions on data issues and ensure end-to-end resolution. Drive root cause analysis, remediation planning, data cleansing and DQ resolution, including feedback loop to continuously improve data quality management.
Take ownership of data quality issues and drive timely resolution, enforcing SLAs, managing reporting, and ensuring timely escalation and closure.
Strengthen and streamline data-related processes by embedding appropriate governance practices across the data lifecycle, identifying gaps, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality.
Conduct governance reviews and assessments to ensure data related projects and initiatives consistently meet data governance standards, including data quality requirements.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, facilitating workshops, and promoting process enhancements and best practices in data quality management.
Drive senior management reporting on data quality and key control metrics, ensuring issues and variances are addressed through established resolution and governance processes
Provide management oversight through structured reporting and escalation process, including preparing decks, presentations, and insights that highlight data quality performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with proven experience of data governance experience; experience in banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, data lifecycle management, and data quality concepts.
Comprehensive understanding of financial reconciliation to support data quality assessment and management reporting.
Proficiency in data analysis using data tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms (e.g., BI tools, data quality monitoring tools).
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to interpret large datasets, identify issues and root causes, and propose actionable solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive and solution-oriented; able to anticipate potential issues, recommend preventive measures, and resolve data quality challenges effectively.
