Why does this job exist and why is it critical

You will design and optimize data pipelines, transform insights in BigQuery, and deliver impactful dashboards in Power BI-driving smarter decisions through automation and collaboration.

What are you accountable for

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable ETL pipelines to ingest data from various sources into Google BigQuery, ensuring data quality and efficiency.

• Develop and optimise complex SQL queries in Google BigQuery for data transformation, aggregation, and analysis to support business requirements.

• Create, deploy, and manage interactive and insightful BI reports and dashboards using PowerBI, including crafting DAX measures for complex calculations.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements, translating them into technical specifications and actionable insights.

• Develop and implement data models that support BI initiatives and ensure data consistency and accuracy for reporting purposes.

• Utilise Python for scripting, automation of data processes, and integration tasks to enhance the data engineering workflow.

• Perform data validation, cleansing, and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in BI reports.

• Monitor and optimise the performance of data pipelines and BI solutions, identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely data delivery.
