Position Title :Data Scientist

Work location : Penang - George Town

Working hours : Mon - Fri, 8.00am - 5.00pm

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test data visualization tools with HTML outputs, integrating Python, frontend (JS, CSS), and backend technologies.
• Leverage Meta AI coding tools to accelerate development and debugging of visualization and automation scripts.
• Analyze test data and results to identify anomalies, debug issues, and provide scalable & quantitative report.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in the automation framework and test scripts to ensure consistent and reliable validation results.
• Transition long-term to Data Scientist role, developing and maintaining automated data pipeline and dashboards.
• Document automation user guidelines, procedures, and equipment configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions to automate the validation process, and support New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the data automation process.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in software development or data science roles.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in scripting, test automation, or data process.
• Basic understanding of frontend web development (HTML, JS, CSS) and core data structures.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Experience with source control tools (Git or SVN).
• Familiarity with test methodologies and validation processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good oral and written English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in software development.
• Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Understanding of hardware or system design.
• Previous experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) phases.
• Experience working with Android/iOS devices, embedded systems is a great plus.
• Experience in ARM-based software development, MCU Firmware, and Linux shell scripting.
• Previous experience in validation and testing of electronic hardware.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, pandas).
