As a Data Scientist at Deriv, you'll help us build innovative solutions using the enormous data that our operations generate to improve the efficiency of our quantitative analyst teams. You'll play an integral role in developing customised programmes and algorithms that help us optimise our strategies and directly impact product development.
Your programming and data analysis skills will be key in helping internal stakeholders make better decisions and guide them in building cutting-edge products. By using machine learning best practices, you'll help the company make decisions that are data-driven and help our teams build products that are intuitive and easy to use for our customers.
Your challenges
- Write programmes to access Deriv Group's multiple and diverse data sources, such as trade history, feeds, financial data, etc.
- Collect, clean, and build data-related tools such as pipelines and databases that enable analysis of large datasets generated by the Group.
- Work with internal quant teams to solve challenging data-related problems, such as searching through a trove of unorganised heterogeneous data structures.
- Develop, deploy, and calibrate machine learning models to enable data-driven decision-making by the company.
- Build tools to help technical and non-technical audiences communicate effectively.
- Develop automated methodologies for feedback testing.
What You Have
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role at a fintech organisation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Experience with object-oriented programming, design pattern, machine learning algorithms and frameworks, financial data, and time series.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
