Job Description

Data Scientist - DistributionLead analytics for our multi-channel distribution strategy, including partnership channels. This role owns the translation of high-level channel strategy into actionable data science use cases that drive acquisition, retention, and channel efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders across distribution, marketing, and product to define, monitor and communicate KPIs for each channel (e.g., sales funnel analytics, quote-to-policy, CAC/LTV).
  • Build and deploy models to optimize acquisition (e.g., lead scoring, next-best-action).
  • Analyze partner/channel performance and recommend reallocations of marketing and operational resources.
  • Build dashboards for real-time monitoring of distribution performance.

Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: 5+ years in life insurance or financial services analytics with deep knowledge of distribution models (e.g., tied agents, MDRTs, Financial Advisors, Independent Agents).

Proven experience optimizing multichannel strategies.

  • Stakeholder Management: Experience leading strategic analytics engagements with cross-functional leaders (distribution, marketing, finance).

  • Ability to clearly articulate model outcomes to non-technical partners.
  • Proven ability to make complex data science concepts comprehensible to various types of audiences.
  • Data Science Acumen: Proficiency in statistical methods, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series analysis. Proficient in uplift modelling and lifetime value modelling. The ability to connect data insights with business strategy and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Technical Familiarity Familiarity with Databricks or Google Vertex AI and Big Query.

Data Scientist - Agency

Core Focus: This individual will be the go-to expert for our exclusive and independent agency network. The primary responsibility is to translate agency business challenges into data science problems, guide discussions with stakeholders, and ensure that analytical solutions drive tangible value for our agency partners and the business. Responsibilities:

  • Build performance monitoring and performance management analytics solutions to drive agency performance
  • Create agent-facing tools to provide coaching, provide performance benchmarks and growth opportunities
  • Analyze incentive program effectiveness and suggest optimizations
  • Build dashboards for real-time monitoring of agency performance.

Qualifications:

Industry Experience: 5+ years in insurance analytics with specific experience working with or analyzing agent performance. Strong grasp of agency compensation, agency training and retention dynamics is preferred.

Stakeholder Management: Proven experience in a customer-facing or consulting role, demonstrating the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, lead discussions, and translate business needs into technical requirements. Proven ability to make complex data science concepts comprehensible to various types of audiences.

Data Science Acumen: Solid understanding of core data science concepts, including classification, regression, and clustering. You should be able to articulate how these methods can solve specific business problems in the agency business model. Experience designing self-service tools or dashboards for non-technical users.

Emerging Technology: Knowledge in Generative AI and its potential business applications is highly desirable.

Technical Familiarity: Knowledge of modern data platforms such as Databricks or Google Vertex AI and BigQuery .

Data Scientist, Digital Experience

Core Focus: As the subject matter expert for the digital domain, this person will use analytics and machine learning to shape and personalize the digital journeys for insurance customers. The role will work closely with digital product managers, UX team, and business product owners to drive customer engagement and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with UX, digital product managers and product owners to inform product roadmaps
  • Design and analyze experiments (A/B and Multivariate tests) for our digital platforms
  • Build personalized experiences in the digital journeys
  • Build Dashboards to monitor key journey metrics (eg: drop-off rates, time on page, conversion)

Qualifications:

Industry Experience: 5+ years analyzing digital products in insurance, fintech, or e-commerce. Experience with customer journey analytics, especially application submission, quote and self-service portals. Experience with insurance agent journey analytics on digital platforms.

Stakeholder Management: Previous experience in customer facing or partnered with UX, digital product managers and engineering teams. Ability to translate data insights into design or content recommendations.

Data Science Acumen: Advanced skills in experimentation, causal inference and web behavioral analytics preferred. Proficient in creating visual representations of data, such as charts and graphs, to communicate insights effectively. Experience with uplift modeling, deep learning for personalization, or recommender systems.

Emerging Technology: Knowledge in Generative AI to revolutionize the digital customer experience is highly desirable.

Technical Familiarity: Understanding of platforms like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
