One of Asia's most established companies is looking for a Data Scientist to be a part of their new Regional Data Team in Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end data projects: Identify issues, gather and analyze data, interpret trends, build models, provide recommendations, and create automated reports.
- Develop data pipelines and ML models: Design ETL flows and research, build, validate, deploy, and improve machine learning algorithms for business optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with business owners, product managers, and developers to uncover insights and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Communicate findings effectively: Simplify complex concepts into clear reports and explain technical results to stakeholders in plain language.
- Enhance data processes and support globally: Define new data collection and analysis processes and provide cross-country support within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in quantative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, etc.)
- At least 2 - 3 years of experience in quantitative analytics or data modeling or data science
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, and programming languages like Python or R.
- Strong analytical mindset and solid business acumen, with the ability to work with large datasets to identify patterns, uncover trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
