We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing IT team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our organization's database systems to ensure high performance, security, and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade database servers and applications.
- Monitor database performance, implement tuning, and optimize queries.
- Ensure data integrity, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Manage user access, security permissions, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application deployment.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a DBA (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery.
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
