Role Responsibilities:
- Handle complex incident management related to database systems - MongoDB
- Monitor and manage day-to-day database operations to maintain availability, performance, and reliability.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to manage database-related service requests, incidents, problems, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
- Analyze database performance metrics and operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for tuning or optimization.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for database administration, backup/recovery, and change management to minimize service disruptions.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to address database-related service issues and recommend improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring database incidents and work with problem management to implement long-term solutions.
- Ensure database documentation is accurate and up to date, covering schemas, configurations, operational processes, and recovery plans.
- Proactively identify opportunities for automation (e.g., monitoring, backups, patching) and process optimization to reduce manual intervention and enhance database efficiency.
- Provide escalation support for critical database issues and be available for on-call standby during out-of-office hours.
- Plan and execute database changes, upgrades, and patches in alignment with business and security requirements.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the database (MongoDB), and/or system support domain.
- Having knowledge of Air Transport International (ATI) business processesor arline industry experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in dealing directly with external customers delivering to SLAs.
- Experience in Operating System - RHEL 7/8
- Experience in AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) domain, where applicable.
- Recognized industry certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE or any MongoDB-related is an added advantage.
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification is an added advantage.
