- Required Technical Skill Set Strong Technical proficiency on MySQL, MariaDB, Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL Technology: minimum 3+ years of experience in MySQL/MariaDB Administration
- Desired Experience Range L2 (3 to 5 Yrs)
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
- Must-Have MySQL/MariaDB Database Administration,
- Basic Understanding of Linux Ecosystem
- Good Troubleshooting skills in Database technology
- Good Communication and presentation skills
- Good-to-Have Multiple Operating system skills – Unix, Linux, Windows
- Linux Shell Scripting Knowledge
- Working knowledge of MongoDB , PostgreSQL
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
- Ensures availability, security, and integrity of the databases.
- Responsible for capacity management, availability management, security management
- Installs and configures database management software (DBMS) including Galera Cluster and Master-Slave and applicable service packs and/or patches.
- Develops and implements database maintenance plans, including performing integrity checks, updating statistics and monitoring security and hardware resource utilization.
- Works in provisioning and decommissioning of databases
- Participates in data modeling and database logical and physical design.
- Analyzes long-term database performance trends to optimize database and application performance.
- Design and implement a backup & recovery system and have extensive hands-on experience on various Backup and Recovery Scenarios.
- Working knowledge of MongoDB,PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and administration
- Provisions MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
- Profiles server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
- Ensures performance, security, and availability of databases
