ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead 24x7 operations of data centre facilities including HVAC, electrical systems, UPS, generators, MV/LV distribution, BMS, and fire protection systems.
- Ensure high availability, uptime, and resilience of critical infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
- Manage operations teams, shift engineers, and service providers.
- Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
- Own and manage DCIM and SCADA platforms used for monitoring and control of power, cooling, environmental conditions, alarms, and capacity.
- Configure and maintain real-time dashboards, alarms, trends, and reports.
- Analyze DCIM/SCADA data to support capacity planning, energy efficiency (PUE), fault diagnosis, and predictive maintenance.
- Ensure accurate asset, rack, and power chain visibility across the data centre.
- Coordinate with IT, OT, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and reliable operation of SCADA systems
- Support data centre construction, expansion, and refurbishment projects.
- Review design drawings, control philosophies, network architectures, and method statements related to DCIM, SCADA, BMS, and EMS systems.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and handover to operations.
- Ensure new facilities are operationally ready, maintainable, and compliant.
- Manage vendors and system integrators for SCADA, DCIM, BMS, and critical infrastructure systems.
- Oversee service contracts, SLAs, and performance KPIs.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams, and authorities.
- Manage operational budgets and cost optimization initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Instrumentation, or Facilities Engineering.
- Certifications in Data Centre Operations, Facilities Management, SCADA/Automation, or Project Management are advantageous.
- 815 years experience in data centre or mission-critical facilities operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with SCADA systems (monitoring, alarms, trending, and control).
- Solid experience using DCIM platforms for capacity, power, and environmental management.
- Good understanding of BMS, EMS, PLC-based systems, and OT networks.
- Exposure to construction, commissioning, or data centre build projects.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and vendors.
- Knowledge of data centre standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE).
- Experience with SCADA, DCIM, CMMS, and asset management systems.
- Ability to interpret control philosophies, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and construction drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting, risk management, and decision-making skills.
- Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
