Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically skilled
Data Operations (DataOps) Specialist to manage the ingestion, transformation, and readiness of data used across
Adobe Real-Time CDP (RTCDP) and
Adobe Campaign platforms. You will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality, real-time, and privacy-compliant data is available for segmentation, personalization, and activation across marketing channels. This role bridges data engineering, marketing, and campaign execution teams.
Responsibilities
- Data Ingestion & Transformation (Adobe RTCDP & Campaign)
- Manage and monitor data pipelines into Adobe RTCDP from various sources (CRM, website, mobile, offline systems, cloud storage).
- Define and implement ETL/ELT logic using tools and Adobe's data ingestion framework (batch or streaming).
- Map incoming data to Adobe's Experience Data Model (XDM) schemas and troubleshoot mismatches or ingestion failures.
- Work with campaign teams to ensure necessary data attributes and calculated fields are available for targeting and personalization.
- Data Quality & Readiness
- Validate incoming data for accuracy, completeness, freshness, and conformity to schema.
- Implement and monitor data quality rules (e.g., deduplication, ID resolution, normalization, data cleansing).
- Build and maintain audience readiness reports and dashboards to verify the availability and health of data used for campaigns.
- Work with Adobe Campaign and RTCDP to ensure segment refreshes are successful and up-to-date before deployment.
- Audience Management & Activation
- Partner with audience strategists to translate segmentation logic into technical audience configurations within RTCDP.
- Assist in enabling audience activation across downstream platforms (e.g., Adobe Campaign, Facebook, Google, custom APIs).
- Support testing and validation of audience files, segment counts, and channel-specific exports.
- Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Automation
- Proactively monitor data jobs, workflows, and segments for failures or latency and take corrective action.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts or workflow scheduling tools to improve speed and reliability.
- Maintain logs and alert systems for key ingestion or processing failures across RTCDP and Campaign.
- Governance, Privacy & Compliance
- Enforce data governance policies including data tagging, naming conventions, and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)especially related to consent flags, opt-out rules, and sensitive data handling.
- Implement and maintain data retention, deletion, and suppression logic across both RTCDP and Adobe Campaign.
- Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on data flows, schema mapping, ingestion processes, and platform configurations.
- Work cross-functionally with Data Engineers, Marketing Operations, CRM, Campaign Managers, and IT teams.
- Participate in data onboarding sessions for new sources or business units and lead technical validation efforts.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a DataOps, Data Engineering, or MarTech Operations role.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe RTCDP, Adobe Experience Platform, or Adobe Campaign (Classic or Standard).
- Proficiency in SQL, JSON, and data transformation techniques.
- Familiarity with XDM schemas, identity resolution, and real-time audience activation.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to debug data issues and investigate anomalies.
- Experience with ETL tools, cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), and APIs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Experience Platform Query Service, Data Prep, or Adobe AEP APIs.
- Understanding of campaign lifecycle, audience strategy, and digital marketing KPIs.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, and DataDog/Splunk for operations monitoring.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security frameworks and how they impact marketing data usage.
