Job Description
Lead the day-to-day delivery of HR operations, including shared services and payroll, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant HR support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:-
HR Shared Services
• Oversee day-to-day HR shared services delivery: employee data management, onboarding/offboarding
administration, HR helpdesk/query resolution, and letter/documentation issuance.
• Maintain HR SOPs and process controls for consistent, audit-ready HR service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement of HR processes and better use of HR systems to improve efficiency and
employee experience.
Payroll Management
• Oversee accurate and timely monthly payroll processing, including statutory contributions (EPF,
SOCSO, EIS, PCB/income tax), claims, and benefits administration.
• Ensure payroll compliance with the Malaysian Employment Act and tax regulations.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and manage relationships with payroll vendors/systems where
applicable.
Compliance & Reporting
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with statutory reporting and internal audit
requirements.
• Prepare and publish HR operations dashboards and reports (headcount, payroll costs, turnover) for
leadership.
• Maintain risk registers for HR operations and payroll-related matters.
Cross-Functional Support
• Partner with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, L&OD, C&B, and Finance to support the end-to-end employee
lifecycle.
• Support project site offices with HR operations needs specific to construction/data centre project teams.
People Leadership
• Lead and develop the HR Operations team (Shared Services and Payroll executives/officers).
• Enforce quality, governance, and confidentiality standards in handling employee data and payroll
information.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–8 years (Deputy Manager) / 8–12 years (Manager) in HR operations, payroll, or shared services,
ideally within construction/engineering or a project-based environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Malaysian payroll statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) and
the Employment Act.
• Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems
