Design and Project Coordinator

We are looking for a Design & Project Coordinator who enjoys working across both design and project execution. This is a hybrid role combining design development, drafting, project coordination and hands-on project support, with McDonald's as the primary account.

McDonald's introduces new restaurant décor each year, giving you the opportunity to be involved in a variety of design development and project execution activities. When project bandwidth allows, you may also have the opportunity to support projects for other brands within the group.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with different teams, solving problems, coordinating details and seeing design concepts progress from development through execution.

Important: China-Based Training & Travel Requirement

This role involves significant travel and extended periods of work in China, particularly during your first year with the company.

1.Design & Project Coordination

• Coordinate and follow up on turnkey solution development projects from design through execution.
• Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, regional teams and other stakeholders to ensure projects progress according to requirements and timelines.
• Assist with project planning, coordination and follow-up on project deliverables.
• Conduct site measurements and gather relevant project information when required.
• Support project calculations, including wall cladding, tile quantities and other project specifications.
• Assist in preparing quotations, costing and project proposals for special projects.

2.Drafting and Design

• Act as an internal drafting and design support resource for the McDonald's account.
• Support:
• Booth and space design development.
• Product rendering and visualization
• Layout planning and design for conventions, workshops and events
• Proposal presentations and concept renderings
• Work in a fast-paced environment where designs may require frequent amendments and revisions.

3.Marketing & Design Support

• Support the Marketing team with promotional materials, presentations and branding requirements.
• Assist with the design and layout of materials for conventions, workshops, forums and events.
• Maintain and update product catalogues, promotional materials and other design-related resources.

4.Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with the China team and other regional teams to understand products, capabilities and project requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely execution.
• When project bandwidth allows, support projects and requirements for other brands within the group.

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in design coordination, project coordination, interior design, drafting or a related field.
• Experience in project coordination and/or design development.
• Proficiency in CAD drafting and relevant 3D rendering/visualisation software.
• Familiarity with AI tools for design, visualisation or productivity is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to read and communicate in Mandarin, as the role will work closely with the China team.
• Comfortable with frequent travel and extended periods working in China.
• Willing to learn and gain hands-on exposure to products, manufacturing and project execution.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requests, revisions and deadlines.
