ELECTRICAL DESIGN MANAGER - Data Center Projects
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead the design and execution of data center projects This role requires managing the entire design process, from planning to construction and commissioning, while ensuring compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Design Leadership: Oversee the planning and design of Data Center Projects, ensuring alignment with schematic designs and managing the entire design lifecycle (incl. organizing and implementing the design process, designing and reviewing the construction plan).
- Project Management: Develop and implement design plans and schedules, while ensuring cost efficiency and quality control throughout the project.
- Team Coordination and Problem Solving: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to optimize designs, resolve on-site issues, and guide construction processes.
- Design Review and Innovation: Manage design disclosure, review design variations, and implement innovative solutions to enhance project technology and management practices.
- System Testing and Commissioning: Lead the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and commissioning of Data Center systems and equipment.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for consultants, property owners, government bodies, suppliers, and contractors across Southeast Asia.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with strong knowledge of Data Center industry standards, including TIA942 and Uptime Tier standards.
- At least 8 years of design management experience in Southeast Asia, with a preference for candidates experienced in Data Center design and Uptime certification.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Southeast Asia's construction procedures, local laws, and design/inspection standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage complex on-site challenges.
