Detection Engineer

Description

We are seeking a skilled Detection Engineer to join our cybersecurity team in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing our security posture by developing and implementing effective detection mechanisms to identify and respond to potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement detection rules to identify malicious activities.
• Analyze security alerts and incidents to enhance detection capabilities.
• Collaborate with the security operations team to improve incident response processes.
• Conduct threat hunting exercises to proactively identify vulnerabilities and threats.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
• Proficient in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) for log analysis.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and security technologies.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of incident response methodologies and security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST).
