Job Description

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing the full DevOps lifecycle, including system operations, monitoring, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC). This role ensures the availability, performance, scalability, and security of cloud and on-premises systems. The ideal candidate is skilled in AWS technologies, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices. They will collaborate with development teams to optimize infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and drive operational excellence.

What You'll Do

System Deployment and Operations:

  • Automate, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based and on-premise systems, focusing on availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda, EKS, and IAM.
  • Utilize Terraform and CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure as code.

Continuous Integration And Tooling:

  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, integrating with development workflows for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize build systems and workflows.

Monitoring And Troubleshooting:

  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions, including Datadog, to track system health, performance, and metrics.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues to ensure reliability and minimal downtime.

Process Improvement And Documentation:

  • Recommend and implement improvements to system architecture and operational processes, emphasizing scalability and efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including network diagrams, component architecture, and DevOps workflows, and share best practices with the team.

Collaboration And Security:

  • Work with the IT Security team to ensure compliance with security standards and successful completion of audits and penetration tests.
  • Promote and implement best-in-class cloud security practices to safeguard critical systems.

What's In It for You

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of DevOps related experience. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.

Technical Expertise:

  • knowledge of Cloud services such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Experience with GitLab, Jenkins or any other Build/Release Platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog) for system health and performance tracking.
  • Experience with any programming language is appreciated (Node.js, Golang, or Java).
  • Experience with Kubernetes clusters is appreciated. Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
