DevOps Engineer RooftopIQ

About RooftopIQ
We're building the operating system for solar EPCs and distributed energy contractors. Unlike generic project management tools, RooftopIQ is purpose-built by practitioners who've lived the pain of managing solar projects through spreadsheets, WhatsApp, and disconnected systems.
Our platform brings together the full lifecyclefrom lead origination to asset managementinto one unified system. We're being validated in the field through our own EPC operations before scaling to external customers, which means every feature we build solves real problems, not theoretical ones.
What You'll Do
Own the infrastructure that powers solar project workflows across Southeast Asia
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our microservices architecture
Ensure reliability and scalability as we grow from pilot customers to full market deployment
Design deployment strategies that maintain uptime while we ship rapidly
Implement monitoring and observability for both our core platform and IoT device integrations
Manage AWS infrastructure with a focus on data residency compliance (Singapore region)
Support real-time integrations with power meters and inverters through MQTT
Collaborate directly with engineers in a small team where your decisions have immediate impact
You're a Good Fit If
You have 1-3 years of DevOps/SRE experience, ideally in growth-stage startups or tech companies
You're comfortable with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.) or eager to learn
You can build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
You have experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
You're familiar with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
You understand microservices architectures and can deploy them reliably
You've worked with or are curious about real-time data pipelines or IoT systems
You're pragmaticyou ship solutions that work, not over-engineered perfection
