Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated DevOps/Operations Engineer to support our infrastructure and deployment activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Windows and Linux systems, networking, containerization, and orchestration, and a background in software engineering. Experience in the PCB industry is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot software on Windows and Linux OS.
- Manage network settings, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
- Deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot Kubernetes (K8s) clusters and related tooling.
- Automate operational tasks, CI/CD pipelines, and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure reliable, scalable deployments.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia without the need for a work pass or visa sponsorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong practical experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and hands-on network configuration experience.
- Proficient with Docker and container-based deployment workflows.
- Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) is preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills; English proficiency is required. Mandarin communication skills are preferred for interacting with stakeholders from China.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience in the PCB (printed circuit board) industry or working with electronics manufacturing systems.
- Certifications related to Linux, networking, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms.
Working Conditions
- On-call rotation for incident support may be required.
