As a DevSecOps Engineer, the incumbent will play a key role in designing and implementing various CI/CD patterns and integrating security practices throughout the entire development and deployment processes. The incumbent will analyze user requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The role also includes managing company servers and overseeing their availability and performance.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with SOC2 practices and compliance requirements, beyond standard DevOps exposure, ensuring security controls, governance, and audit readiness are embedded within infrastructure and deployment workflows.
Responsibilities
- Create, develop and implement solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements.
- Identify the needs for build automation, designing and implementing CICD solutions.
- Integrate security best practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring secure software delivery.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with development, operations, to design and implement security solutions.
- Automate security processes, including vulnerability scanning and incident response.
- Performed continuous deployment in a professional software engineering environment.
- Identify management concerns and problems, assess them, and offer prompt solutions and/or escalation.
- Design procedures and perform system troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Respond to incidents and lead post-incident investigations.
- Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, y, or development problem.
- Provides direct and responsive support for urgent analytic needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent.
- Understandings of web application development using the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, Nginx, MySQL, and PHP) and related technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive solutions to completion
- Experience with version control systems (e.g.,Git).
- Experience in CI/CD.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong expertise in DevOps and security tools (Jenkins, Docker, r, Bitbucket pipeline).
- Experience with cloud security and cloud platforms (DigitalOCean, Alibaba Cloud, AWS).
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
- Experience with SOC 2 compliance or equivalent.
- Strong experience in managing Ubuntu Linux environment.
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum approach.
