Job Description

Role Overview

The role is responsible for co‑developing and executing ecosystem strategies across the Maybank Group in collaboration with Strategic Partners (SPs), Lines of Business (LOBs), Countries, and Sectors. This includes sourcing and managing strategic ecosystem partnerships, optimising value creation, and driving sustainable growth across digital channels.

Leveraging expertise in business development, partnerships, strategy, and project facilitation, this role supports the expansion of Maybank's digital footprint, customer acquisition and retention, and revenue generation through ecosystem‑led initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with digital business units to identify and execute growth opportunities across owned channels, partner ecosystems, and API Marketplace connectivity
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify new customer segments, emerging trends, and untapped growth opportunities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including pitching solutions, negotiating partnerships, and closing strategic deals
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver ecosystem collaborations, acting as the primary liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Define, track, and optimise KPIs for each collaboration, proactively managing risks and identifying enhancement opportunities
  • Lead and deliver strategic initiatives to drive digital growth, improve market share, and strengthen customer acquisition and retention
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and fostering a culture of experimentation, agility, and continuous optimisation

Role Requirements

  • Proven track record in leading large‑scale business development and strategic partnership initiatives
  • Strong experience in identifying and scaling digital business growth opportunities
  • Solid understanding of digital technologies, including digital marketing, analytics, and digital product development
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a forward‑looking perspective
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities in complex organisational environments
  • Results‑driven problem solver with a passion for driving meaningful transformation
