Digital Project Manager

Job Description

The position will be required to do overall project management: oversee scope, planning, vendor implementation, and ensuring project delivered in the assigned business unit. The role will require managing digital resources, to deliver all digital projects according to project guidelines. The role will require engaging with development teams to ensure project objectives are achievable and meet quality standards

Key Responsibilities: -

1) Project initiation

Support Head of IT to understand BG digital strategy, business requirements and challenges and propose solution to meet business needs and address business challenges.

Explore & perform feasibility study of new Digital Technology and Solution that benefits business

Lead in designing, specifying and selecting IT system considering functionality, data security, licenses, integration, infrastructure, performance and ongoing supportability

Estimate project implementation cost and work with Head of IT in preparing business case for Digital Solution.

2) Project Execution

To lead and manage digital projects.

Responsible for the timely delivery of all phases of digital projects, including estimating, structuring, manage/control and transition to operation. He / She must also has the experience managing and leading highly skilled, geographically dispersed team to deliver projects on-time, on budget.

Be able to engage and communicate with stakeholders and manage issues.

Responsibilities include working with the business users to define scope and gather business requirements, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, project planning, define test plan, contingency and cut-over planning and post implementation support plan.

Work closely with Change Management team to define training plan, communication plan and any other Change Management activities.

Work as Quality Assurance to ensure Digital projects are on schedule, on budget and meeting business needs.

Responsible for resource management for Digital projects.

3) Project Closing

Ensure project is transition to operation for on going support

Support Business Financial Controller to calculate Return of Investment and confirm the effectiveness of IT system investment.

Qualification:-

• 35 years of experience in project management, particularly in digital technologies (mobile, web, cloud, and emerging technologies such as AI, ML, Blockchain, M365, etc.)
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and practices
• At least 2+ years of experience working as a Technology Project Manager, managing projects within the digital technology domain (mobile, web, cloud, AI, ML, Blockchain, M365, etc.)
• Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal) in English are essential; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an added advantage
