BMW Group Malaysia is currently looking for a motivated and analytical Direct Purchasing Executive to support procurement activities for direct materials in our CKD vehicle production operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring competitive cost structures, strong supplier performance, and compliance with Malaysia's Local Content (LC) requirements.

What awaits you

As a Direct Purchasing Executive, you will:

Direct Purchasing & Cost Management

• Support the preparation and coordination of price rounds with Local Content suppliers.
• Perform detailed cost analysis and validate supplier price changes, adjustments, and claims.
• Manage overseas Local Content (LC) calculations to ensure compliance with government regulations.

Cross‑functional Collaboration & Localization Support

• Work closely with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Production, Logistics, Quality, and Finance.
• Support sourcing, localization, and cost optimization initiatives that align with business and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in procurement processes and data transparency.

What should you bring along

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in direct purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably within automotive manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good analytical skills with attention to detail in cost and data analysis.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
• A proactive, structured, and self‑driven working style.
