Job Description

The Director, Business and Partnership Development leads the company's growth through new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue-generating collaborations. This person is responsible for identifying, building, and managing relationships that expand market reach, create commercial value, and support the startup's long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the business development and partnership strategy aligned with company goals.

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnership models, and revenue streams.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including clients, strategic partners, industry associations, investors, and ecosystem players.

  • Lead partnership discussions, negotiate commercial terms, and close agreements that create mutual value.

  • Manage the partnership pipeline, from prospecting and outreach to proposal development, deal structuring, and contract finalization.

  • Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product, operations, finance, and leadership to ensure partnership plans are commercially viable and operationally executable.

  • Represent the company at external meetings, networking events, conferences, and industry forums.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and partnership opportunities to inform business strategy.

  • Track performance of partnerships and business development initiatives against targets and KPIs.

  • Prepare reports, business cases, pitch materials, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
