Job Description

Andersen Malaysia is inviting strategic thinkers and dedicated professionals to develop and manage the Business Valuation Services unit as a key member of the management. The applicant should be able to secure and lead valuation engagements across mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, restructurings, and shareholder disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee business valuation engagements across M&A, financial reporting, restructuring, and dispute contexts.
  • Review valuation models, assumptions, and reports to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with international valuation standards (IVS 2025).
  • Advise clients on valuation methodologies, key value drivers, and financial implications.
  • Valuation of intangible assets of blue-chip companies and their business brand for investment strategy, litigation, financial reporting, tax, and marketing.
  • Manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
  • Mentor and develop managers, seniors, and associates within the valuation team.
  • Ensure quality control and consistency of valuation deliverables.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Professional Qualification in one of the following or equivalent (CVA, CPA, CA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Experience with P&L responsibility. Post-Chartered Valuer and Appraiser qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Experienced infinancial modelling, intangible asset valuation, balance sheet valuation, tax valuation & business valuation for M&A activities.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently in adynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Private Equity Valuation, eliciting information from diverse sources for a comprehensive evaluation of a target business entity, identifying brand strengths and weaknesses, and potential to increase brand value.
  • A minimum of a Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 1015 years of relevant valuation and corporate finance experience.
