Job Descriptions

• Responsible for the entire CIMB PB Malaysia Technology/Digital Solution needs;
• Sits on Project Steering Committees and Project Working Committees for approved and inflight technology projects;
• Liaison between Business and Technology on all matters related to technology on the PB platform;
• Track all approved technology projects for completeness in terms of budget, timeline and scope;
• Report progress of all approved technology projects to senior management;
• Escalate issues and risks in relations to technology to senior management on a timely manner;
• Provide solutions to issues and risks encountered in relation to technology;
• Manage and coordinate all technology requirements from business and work with Group Technology on approved projects for delivery;
• Manage and responsible for ensuring all approved project cost are within approved budgets;
• Engage and provide advice to support the Senior Management team, comprising of Regional Head of PB, Head of PB, Head of PB Sales and Head of Business Strategy and Solutions in developing and proposing the development of new solutions in relations to technology;
• Coordinate with other units/divisions in the implementation of technology projects in order to contribute towards the overall success of the business;
• Build strong networking with relevant internal and external parties, gathering important technology updates. and keeping abreast with the latest technologies available in the wealth management space;
• Devise Technology KPIs to align with business directions and targeted growth;
• Responsible for the management and recruitment of personnel to ensure resources are sufficient to meet PB budget and plans in relations to technology from a BU perspective;
• Track the performance of Group Technology and provide update to the Senior Management team;
• Manage issues and complaints escalated by the internal teams in relations to technology;
• Perform any other duties as and when assigned by senior management.

Job Requirements

• Degree in the relevant discipline (Computer Science/Information Technology/Information System).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince Certification will be added advantage
• Scrum Master Certification will be added advantage
• >8 years of working experience in the related field or have prior experience in strategy or project management.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Avaloq system, preferably within banking / financial services environment
• >5 years of working in technical field (software development OR Hardware Infrastructure setup/maintenance) will be added advantage
• Experience in wealth management industry or digitisation related projects will be added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
• Good articulation in writing and verbal communication in English
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile
• Hands on experience in software development (eg. C++, Python, Java) will be added advantage
• Knowledge of UNIX and SQL Queries will be added advantage
• Experience in Project Budgeting (knowledge of basic accounting principles – CAPEX, OPEX, TCO, etc)
• Analytical and systematic
