Summary
As the Director of Events Planning, you will lead the Events Planning team to deliver exceptional event experiences that reflect the sophistication and personalized service of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Events department, overseeing both Catering Sales and Convention Services to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
You will drive operational excellence by ensuring the department runs efficiently in line with Hyatt's corporate strategies and brand standards, while consistently exceeding the expectations of our guests, colleagues, and owners. Working closely with internal teams and clients, you will create memorable events that embody the understated luxury and bespoke hospitality synonymous with the Park Hyatt brand.
Qualifications
- Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open to Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.
- Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field.
- Previous work experience in a similar leadership capacity with a luxury international hotel brand is preferred. Extensive experience in event planning and event sales is essential.
- Results-driven with strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to foster strong partnerships across departments and with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional events and guest experiences.
