A leading global semiconductor manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director, Assembly Operations to lead a large-scale, high-volume assembly manufacturing organization. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, manufacturing performance, workforce development, quality, productivity, and strategic growth across a complex assembly operation supporting global customers.

The successful candidate will oversee multiple manufacturing teams and partners, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in scaling operations to support future business expansion and technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end assembly manufacturing operations, ensuring achievement of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives.
• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies to support capacity expansion, operational readiness, and long-term business growth.
• Drive world-class operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage large multidisciplinary teams including manufacturing, engineering, production support, maintenance, planning, and quality functions.
• Establish and monitor key operational metrics, ensuring consistent performance against production commitments and customer expectations.
• Lead manufacturing transformation projects focused on efficiency, cost optimization, equipment utilization, and cycle-time reduction.
• Partner closely with engineering, supply chain, quality, and technology teams to support new product introductions and technology transfers.
• Build a high-performance culture through leadership development, succession planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and corporate standards.
• Act as a key member of the site leadership team, contributing to broader business strategy and organizational development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive leadership experience within semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or highly automated production environments.
• Proven track record leading large manufacturing organizations with significant headcount and operational complexity.
• Strong expertise in assembly, manufacturing operations, operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, and automation initiatives.
• Demonstrated success in driving productivity improvements, cost optimization, quality enhancement, and capacity expansion programs.
• Experience managing senior leaders and developing high-performing manufacturing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.
