Summary:
The Director, Operations provides executive leadership across the Group's operational pillars, encompassing technical and engineering functions, continuous improvement and compliance, contracts and procurement, IT, safety, and project execution. The role ensures operational efficiency, compliance, and project success across the Group. This position steers Group-wide operational strategies, strengthens governance and risk visibility, and ensures alignment between people, processes, systems, and project outcomes. As a key strategic partner to the Managing Director, the Director, Operations advances innovation, operational resilience, and BRISK-aligned culture while building organizational capability across all operational teams.
Job Description:
1. Strategic & Governance Leadership
- Lead continuous improvement, shared services integration, and operational optimisation across the Group.
- Establish the Centre of Excellence (COE) framework for policy formulation, implementation, and compliance oversight.
- Strategize project management, procurement, IT, and safety governance to align business objectives, risk controls, and BRISK values.
2. Operational Excellence & Process Optimisation
- Oversee performance reporting, KPI dashboards, and operational audits for senior management deliberation.
- Formulate policies that strengthen cross-functional collaboration and eliminate process inefficiencies.
- Direct the cultivation of a data-driven and innovative culture grounded in Boldness, Respect, Innovation, Steadfastness, and Knowledge.
3. Project Oversight & Delivery
- Set strategic direction for project execution from costing through commissioning, integrating operational and safety standards.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and technical specifications to maintain operational standards.
- Lead commercial and technical evaluations of infrastructure proposals to validate feasibility and long-term value.
4.Procurement & Risk Management
- Direct centralised procurement processes and establish governance mechanisms aligned with company standards.
- Lead vendor negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives to drive value optimisation.
- Oversee internal controls, regulatory compliance, and integrated safety requirements across all procurement activities.
5.IT & Digital Infrastructure Oversight
- Oversee the formulation and execution of the Group's IT and digital roadmap.
- Set performance, cybersecurity, and resilience standards for enterprise-wide systems and digital platforms.
- Strategize IT-driven innovation to reinforce business continuity, operational efficiency, and knowledge management.
6.Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development Support
- Lead engagement with suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to strengthen operational and strategic alignment.
- Direct business development interfaces involving project costing, proposal formulation, and technical evaluation.
- Represent the Operations Division in cross-functional platforms and strategic planning deliberations.
Job Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in M&E Engineering, Construction Management, QS or related field. Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 25 years experience in operations, engineering, or project delivery, including team and budget leadership.
- Must have experience across contract & procurement, hands-on in M&E field, IT, safety and compliance governance.
- Extra advantage if you have BIM Modular, 6 Sigma & have experience in managing railing project.
