Job Description

Company Description ALLOYPLAS is a one-stop center specializing in air pollution control solutions for industrial clients. The company provides engineering expertise in systems such as chemical fume scrubbers, NOx scrubbers, ammonia strippers, particulate dust collectors, and odor/VOC control units. ALLOYPLAS also handles D.O.E. consultation and submission to support regulatory compliance. Its services include the design and installation of industrial ducting and piping networks, fabrication of chemical-resistant plastic tanks, and custom-made automation systems for efficient and safe operations.

Role Description The Drafter at ALLOYPLAS is a full-time, on-site role based in Perai. This role involves preparing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for air pollution control systems, ducting and piping layouts, plastic tanks, and automation components using CAD software. The Drafter will interpret engineering concepts, specifications, and site measurements to produce accurate technical drawings and update them based on feedback from engineers and project teams. Daily tasks include maintaining drawing documentation, ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulatory requirements, and coordinating with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to support smooth project execution. The role may also involve occasional site visits to verify dimensions, gather data, and support installation planning.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar) and strong technical drawing skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, and mechanical layouts for ducting, piping, and tanks.
  • Knowledge of industrial ventilation, air pollution control systems, or mechanical/chemical process equipment is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate drawing records and documentation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project teams, and fabrication staff.
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Drafting, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards, safety requirements, and basic regulatory considerations for industrial installations.
  • Ability to work on-site in Perai, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
