The EHS Executive plays a critical role in driving Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement within Kerry Ingredients Pasir Gudang facility. Reporting directly to the EHS Manager, this position ensures adherence to corporate and regulatory standards, fosters a strong safety culture, and supports operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure effectiveness of overall EHS Management system, both theoretical and practical.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans including conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of ERP and ensure readiness to respond to emergencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to address environmental, health, and safety issues and drive continuous improvement in EHS.
- Communicate effectively with employees, management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders on EHS matters, including conducting training sessions and presentations as needed.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant authorities regulations by developing and implementing EHS programs. Policies and management system. To provide a technical support on EHS.
- To review & validate report, compile analysis, advise and follow-up with site on 14001 & 45001 Compliance, Gap Analysis, WWTP/IETS, RSA (HEA & HPRA) and EHS Project
- Interpreting standard, advising management on needed actions, enforcing adherence to regulation (i.e.OSHA 2022, EQA and FMA) and Kerry corporate standard (RSA & Kerry Global).
- To drive the EHS yearly action plan and evaluate the effectiveness.
- Ensure effectiveness of EHS Committee and advise as necessary
- Partnering with other functions in continually reducing the environment impact through reduction of resources use and the reduction of waste generation
- To perform any task assigned by the superior/dotted superior from time to time for career enhancement.
- Provide EHS support to other Kerry sites
- Competent person for Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWAM)
- Competent Safety & Health Officer (SHO)
- Ensure full compliance on OSHA 1994 (amendments 2022), EQA 1974 (amendments 2024), UBBL 1984 (amendments 2021), Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulations 2005 & Kerry LIFE standards.
- To perform duties assigned by superior from time to time.Works in partnership with Integrated Office functions (Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and Engineering) to ensure all
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental, Health & Safety, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in a Technical EHS/OSH role in multinational food manufacturing industry.
- Registered with DOSH as a competent Safety & Health Officer (valid Green book holder). High knowledge OSHA, EMS & WWTP/IETS Technology & Process would be an advantage
- Possess Scheduled Waste Management Competency
- NEBOSH, AGT, Train the Trainer would be an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) 2022.
- Knowledge in ISO45001 & ISO14001along with lead auditor experience is an advantage.
