Electrical Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

To support the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of electrical maintenance and project activities across the port. This role is responsible for managing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating shutdown activities, supporting CAPEX projects, monitoring energy performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant electrical regulations and safety standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Manage and monitor electrical maintenance activities for HV, MV, LV, and E-Block systems.
2. Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance works to ensure high system reliability.
3. Prepare maintenance work packages, including manpower, materials, tools, and spare parts.
4. Coordinate maintenance windows with Operations, Engineering, and service providers.
5. Support CAPEX initiatives, project planning, tendering, and business case development.
6. Monitor electrical network performance, power quality, and energy consumption across the port.
7. Assist in Energy Management System implementation and reporting requirements.
8. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Electricity Supply Act 1990, Electricity Regulations 1994, EMEER, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
9. Analyze maintenance performance and recommend improvement actions.
10. Manage shutdown planning, electrical upgrades, and enhancement projects.
11. Support emergency response, major breakdowns, and on-call duties when required.

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in electrical maintenance, engineering, or project management
• Experience in:

Electrical systems (HV/MV/LV)

Maintenance planning and execution

Project management and tendering processes

Energy management and electrical network monitoring

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Good communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
