The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing electrical components into devices. They will also help design and manufacture electrical products of all shapes and sizes. They should be able to make quality assurance checks in order to keep the product standard high.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with design and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, rules, and regulations, and support the HSE department in achieving safety targets and objectives.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to review and comment on design drawings (DDE, IFD, IFA, IFC) to ensure technical feasibility and constructability.
- Conduct offshore site surveys with engineering and construction teams to verify work scope, identify hazards, and ensure constructability.
- Prepare and develop maintenance and project work packs, job cards, procedures, and checklists, incorporating QC and HSE requirements.
- Plan and coordinate material requirements, fabrication status, and logistics to ensure timely availability for project execution.
- Liaise with vendors and third-party service providers to support testing, commissioning, and technical activities.
- Monitor offshore work progress, commissioning documentation, and project schedules, ensuring compliance with design, quality, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Registered with Board Engineering Malaysia (BEM)
- Minimum 10 years professional experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 5 years working with an EPCIC Contractor
- Experience in Commissioning would be an advantage
