Role Summary
Suntar International Group is a Singapore-headquartered company specializing in environmental technology, supported by five manufacturing plants in China and operations across the SEA (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam), India and Middle East region. Currently, we're seeking a motivated Electrical Project Engineer to manage and execute engineering projects from design to commissioning. This role bridges electrical, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and review electrical and instrumentation drawings (schematics, P&ID, loop, wiring).
- Select and specify field instruments (transmitters, control valves, flowmeters, etc.).
- Support project execution: engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct FAT/SAT, troubleshooting, and system commissioning.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to ensure project completion.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, ISA, and local regulations.
- Prepare technical documents, reports, and manuals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field.
- 25 years experience in electrical/instrumentation or control system projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD or EPlan.
- Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and HV/LV design.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must; other regional languages are a plus.
- Willing to travel to project sites across Malaysia and overseas.
