The Electrical Project Lead is responsible for the strategic oversight and technical delivery of complex electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and utility-scale projects. This role serves as the primary technical authority on-site and in the office, ensuring that renewable energy technologies are integrated safely and efficiently. The Lead will not only manage the project lifecycle but also mentor junior engineers, ensuring all designs and executions surpass industry codes and client expectations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Direct projects from conceptual design through to commissioning and final handover, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Monitor team members project progression
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, high-level vendors, and internal management to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Act as a reviewer for various site reports.
  • Oversee and approve the design and calculations of key electrical components specifically for renewable energy projects.
  • Supervise and validate Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and ensure that field installations mirror engineered blueprints.
  • Lead investigations into complex technical issues raised by customers, providing root-cause analysis and long-term corrective solutions.
  • Guide and develop junior engineers to broaden their technical discipline and align with company policy.
  • Stay at the forefront of the renewable energy industry, identifying new technologies or methodologies to improve project efficiency.
  • Perform ad-hoc strategic tasks as directed by the management team to support business scaling.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Possessed own vehicles and willing to travel approximately 40% within Malaysia for site visits and client meetings.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Require 3 - 5 years of working experience.
