Embedded Software Developer level II

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for design, implement, and maintain firmware for communication devices for the professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments.
• Participate across all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and system-level architecture to board bring-up, integration, and release validation.
• Define specifications which include software requirements for new software platforms and/or new system features/solutions.
• Develop architectural specifications, technical requirements, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Message Sequence Charts (MSCs).
• Lead and/or participate in peer code reviews, design walkthroughs, and architectural evaluations to uphold rigorous safety and quality standards.
• Able to diagnose complex system-level issues with or without using lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers).
• Partner closely with global R&D centers, hardware teams, and system validation engineers to deliver cohesive product solutions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience developing real-time embedded software for mission-critical communication equipment, industrial automation, or automotive systems.
• Strong proficiency in C and/or C++, with solid foundations in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and data structures.
• Knowledge in embedded software development e.g. Drivers, Protocols, WiFi, DSP, 5G/LTE and embedded Linux.
• Experience in real-time embedded software development for communication devices, automotive applications, industrial automation and consumer products.
• Good knowledge of microprocessors and controller design.
• Possess real time operating system knowledge.
• Experience with embedded debugging tools, on-chip debuggers, and hardware test equipment (oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers).
• Experience with Bitbucket/GitHub/Jira
• Experience in AI (AI Agentic, SDD, Co-pilot)
