Job Description

Frazer Jones is pleased to partner with a well‑established global organisation to appoint an Employee Relations Specialist. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role offers the opportunity to influence the organisation's employee relations agenda across the region, contributing to fair and consistent workplace practices, policy enhancement, risk mitigation, and capability building.

Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of ER matters from end to end. This includes supporting leaders and employees through complex or sensitive situations such as performance concerns, grievances, misconduct, conflict resolution, and other workplace issues. You will guide decision‑making to ensure outcomes are equitable, consistent, and compliant with local employment regulations. The role spans day‑to‑day advisory work as well as cases that require deeper judgement, confidentiality, and the ability to remain objective under pressure. You will also coach and develop people managers, helping them build the capability to manage ER matters effectively through targeted training, advisory support, and ongoing upskilling. In addition, you will contribute to broader ER programmes and continuous‑improvement initiatives, both locally and internationally, with a focus on strengthening processes, reducing risk, and elevating the employee experience.

Another important aspect of the role involves maintaining strong knowledge of employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and ER best practices across the region. You will ensure internal policies remain aligned with local laws, analyse ER trends, identify root causes, and use data insights to recommend proactive actions. Where necessary, you will escalate emerging themes, risks, and compliance concerns to senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with 8 to 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years specialising in employee relations or people advisory work within the APAC region. Strong communication, investigation, and stakeholder‑management capabilities are essential, as the role requires translating complex matters into clear, practical guidance while navigating sensitive issues with empathy, professionalism, and objectivity. Experience in multinational or fast‑paced environments, together with familiarity with modern HR systems and case‑management tools, will be highly advantageous.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ER professional looking to play a key role in shaping regional ER governance, strengthening organisational capability, and contributing to continuous improvement across a growing and dynamic business.
