Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineer role based in Kulim. The Engineer will contribute to the development, optimization, and maintenance of advanced IC substrate and printed circuit board manufacturing processes, ensuring high quality and reliability of products. Daily tasks include monitoring production performance, analyzing technical issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as R&D, quality, and operations. The role also involves supporting new technology introductions, documenting engineering procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards. The Engineer will work closely with local and global stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and support AT&S's digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in engineering disciplines such as electronics, materials science, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
- Practical experience with manufacturing processes, process optimization, and production troubleshooting in a high-tech or electronics environment.
- Ability to use analytical and problem-solving tools, including data analysis, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with quality management systems, industry standards, and best practices related to PCB or semiconductor manufacturing is advantageous.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software, production monitoring tools, and MS Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field; relevant professional experience in manufacturing or advanced technologies is a plus.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced industrial environment and commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous learning.
