Engineer Automation & Electrical

1. Business Need

The Pasir Gudang plant is undergoing operational scaling, increased production demands, and scheduled equipment upgrades. To maintain

optimal uptime and ensure all electrical systems operate efficiently and safely, we require a qualified Electrical Engineer on-site.

2. Compliance & Safety Requirements

Regulatory bodies such as Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) and DOSH require certified personnel to oversee electrical systems.

An Electrical Engineer ensures adherence to Malaysian Electrical Code of Practice, helping avoid costly non-compliance penalties and

safety incidents.

3. Operational Efficiency

On-site support enables faster troubleshooting, reducing maintenance turnaround time.

Supports plant automation, PLC/SCADA programming, and energy efficiency initiatives.

4. Cost Savings

Reduces outsourcing costs for troubleshooting, system upgrades, and electrical audits.

Helps optimize energy consumption and reduce electrical wastage.

5. Strategic Growth Support

The engineer will contribute to upcoming capex projects (e.g., new production lines, electrical upgrades).

Ensures technical expertise is available to support any plant expansion or modernization initiatives.

Key Attributes:

Design and plan electrical systems, including power and Process control system including DCS/Scada

Design systems using PLC programs and sensor technologies.

Maintain systems for installation, integration, and operation.

Maintain and upgrade control systems.

Use engineering design software to create, modify, and analyze project schematics.

Understand safety procedures and train team members on safe work practices.

Lead trouble shooting efforts on automation projects.

Process and document automation test plans.

Demonstrate ability to develop and implement Electrical Maintenance strategy at the Plant Annual Schedule Plant

Shutdown, Preventive maintenance, Predictive maintenance and Corrective maintenance.

Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain Electrical reliability program and set priorities.

Demonstrate ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Demonstrate strengths to take actions in maximizing organization resources for departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
