How You Will Make An Impact

  • Design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines that integrate customer behaviour, application performance, video QoE/QoS and operational telemetry from multiple digital TV and OTT data sources.
  • Develop dashboards, analytical models and customer intelligence views that provide actionable insights into service quality, customer journeys, feature adoption and usage behaviour.
  • Apply statistical analysis, AI and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, anomalies and emerging customer-impacting issues, enabling more proactive and predictive service management.
  • Correlate technical service performance with customer experience and behaviour to identify affected customer segments, support root-cause analysis and prioritise service improvements based on customer impact.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering and Operations teams to translate data insights into measurable improvements in customer experience, platform reliability, product features and service operations.
  • Define and continuously improve customer experience, video quality and application performance metrics, ensuring data quality, consistency and trusted reporting across stakeholders.
  • Automate data preparation, analysis and reporting workflows to improve speed, scalability and efficiency, while evaluating opportunities to apply AI to operational and customer intelligence use cases.
  • Support investigation of service incidents and production issues through data analysis, trend correlation and impact assessment, and contribute to post-incident and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure appropriate data governance, security and privacy practices are applied when handling customer and operational data.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, observability and digital customer experience technologies and recommend relevant improvements for the TV and OTT environment.

Skills For Success

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, customer analytics or a related technology role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used for data analysis or engineering, such as Python.
  • Experience building data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources and working with structured and semi-structured data.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning and practical application of AI to analytics, anomaly detection, prediction or operational intelligence.
  • Experience with cloud-based data and analytics services, preferably in AWS or a comparable public cloud environment.
  • Experience with application analytics, observability, digital experience monitoring or video/OTT QoE analytics will be an advantage.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets and technical findings into clear business and customer insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with a strong customer-centric mindset.
