Job Description:
The Role: Tooling Engineer We are looking for an experienced Tooling Engineer to drive tooling performance, eliminate production tooling issues, and improve maintenance quality. You will support daily operations, enhance tooling design and molding processes, and ensure manufacturing readiness for new products. What You'll Do:
- Provide technical advice and develop improvement strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Develop and analyze mold data and history to support improvement plans and documentation for audits.
- Drive improvement initiatives to enhance UDT performance and support production with tooling engineering expertise.
- Improve part quality to reduce scrap and rework.
- Deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality technical support to internal customers on time.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety for a clean, safe working environment.
- Monitor and address shop‑floor bottlenecks.
- Communicate detailed and relevant information to management, customers, and team members.
- Establish and track operating indicators to measure departmental performance.
- Pursue stretch objectives to further optimize production cost‑effectiveness.
- Develop tooling methodologies and specifications for new tooling fabrication.
- Support scheduling, vendor interactions, and daily operational needs. What We Seek:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mold/tooling and machine shop practices.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and create basic fabrication/2D layouts.
- Strong multitasking ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, design/process FMEA (preferred).
- Strong awareness of safety, quality, and ISO standards. Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
