Engineer (Rotating Supervisor)
Job Description
Job Purpose
Plan, supervise, coordinate & monitor all aspects of mechanical rotating equipment maintenance and operation activities in plant area in accordance with company's policies, procedures, statutory requirements, engineering practices in order to maintain rotating equipment to perform its intended function towards achieving operational excellence, HSE & quality targets within budget.
Key Accountabilities
1.Preventive Maintenance Execution
- Execute routine and preventive maintenance program for mechanical rotating equipment by liaising with Maintenance Planner. Prioritize emergency works. Provide technical guidelines, procedures and job instructions to technicians in performing their maintenance duty in line with PETRONAS Technical Standard (PTS), best practices and statutory requirements.
2.Evaluation Of Materials And Method For Maintenance Works
- Review, evaluate and specify materials and advise methods required to Maintenance Planner in undertaking maintenance works. Assist Maintenance Planner in reviewing and recommends spare part for equipment.
3.Supervision Of Workforce For Maintenance Execution
- Lead and supervise all technicians and contractors in performing daily maintenance works for the assigned area. Distribute, assign and control technicians and contractors to ensure effective maintenance workforce is available to support any urgent, important and routine maintenance need. Keep track of technician job progress.
4.Plant Turnaround Execution
- Lead, coordinate and provide field supervision service during execution of plant turnaround.
5.Workforce Performances
- Evaluate technicians strength and weaknesses, establish key performance indicators requirements and personal targets for assigned staff, regularly monitor and provide coaching for improvement and development to improve deficiencies and productivities.
6.Safety Compliance & Control
- Ensure compliance to the approved HSE policy, guidelines and procedures within Maintenance Team and render prompt recommendation during plant emergency situation to minimize plant downtime
Qualification & Experience
- A degree in related Mechanical Engineering field with minimum 5 years experience in oil and gas industry mainly in oil refining and/or petrochemical plant which includes managing operations or maintenance and/or technical services.
- Possess strong knowledge in technical, process technology/operation
- Possess strong drive, resilience and is a self-starter with strong collaboration skills and networking ability
- Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills with ability to synthesize, facilitate and influence.
- Analytical in thinking, techniques and business analysis
