Your Job

You will provide signal integrity design support for new and existing interconnect solutions, driving the development of new or advanced technologies in signal integrity design capabilities. Your role is key to ensuring performance and reliability through detailed analysis, modeling, and testing of electro-mechanical interconnects.

Our Team

You will be part of the Datacom & Specialty Solutions Product Development division, collaborating closely with management, project team members, and staff across functions within Molex, including international colleagues. The team also interfaces regularly with Product Design, Sales & Marketing, as well as customers and vendors to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Master's degree or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics or Bachelor of Science in Physics.Experience designing and supporting high-speed electrical interconnects.Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools such as Channel Designer, HFSS, CST, FDTD, MoM tools, Sigrity PowerSI, PAKSI-E, Power-grid, Agilent ADS, Agilent PLTS, and Cadence CAD tools.Skilled in correlating simulation results with laboratory measurements using oscilloscopes, TDRs, and VNAs.Ability to script or automate analysis workflows using point tools or similar software.Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.At least 5 years of relevant work experience in signal integrity and electrical interconnect design.In-depth understanding of electromagnetics principles.Proven experience in characterization and modeling of high-speed electrical interconnects.Strong skills in developing and executing electrical test procedures and specifications.Perform finite element simulations to analyze electro-mechanical interconnects.Derive mathematical models of electro-mechanical parameters relevant to signal integrity.Characterize high-speed connectors and systems using high-speed digital testing and electromagnetic modeling techniques.Develop empirical and analytical electrical test procedures and specifications to validate designs.Design and implement test fixtures, characterization test boards, and customer verification boards, collaborating with PCB design houses.Conduct empirical and analytical testing based on design input requirements.Generate evaluation and qualification reports or presentation materials for internal and customer use.Provide expert advice on signal integrity-related matters to Marketing, Sales, and customers.Stay up-to-date with industry trends on high-speed connector requirements and share insights with the team.Lead research and development on advanced electrical design technologies.Analyze and develop guidelines to mitigate issues such as EMI, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and CFD in interconnect systems.Work directly with customers on various high-speed serial I/O, backplane, board-to-board, and channel applications.
